Create Video Using PowerPoint 2010 or 2013

This tutorial shows how I create a video using PowerPoint 2013. You can also create PowerPoint videos using PowerPoint 2010.

Free Software

I use free software for screen capture and sound recording. You can download Jing (screen capture) from https://www.prefertoworkathome.com/jing. Audacity (sound recording) is available from http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity. In my opinion Audacity is so good you won’t need to pay for any other sound recording software. As always, when you install software you should be careful that PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) have not been added.

    Hi Marion,

Thank you for the idea of creating a video using Powerpoint. I haven’t made many videos yet but I am planning to make more in the future.

Do you prefer using Jing over Screencast-o-matic? Have you tried them both?

Audacity seems to be a good way to record the audio as you say. I have used it a little bit.
